Touch of Frost blog tour …

It’s that time again — time for me to take over the Internet with another blog tour.

I know, I know, it seems like my blog tour for Tangled Threads wrapped up not too long ago, but now, it’s time to shift gears and focus on Touch of Frost, the first book in my Mythos Academy young adult series.

Touch of Frost comes out on July 26 (less than three weeks to go now!). Here’s a description of the book:

My name is Gwen Frost, and I go to Mythos Academy — a school of myths, magic and warrior whiz kids, where even the lowliest geek knows how to chop off somebody’s head with a sword and Logan Quinn, the hottest Spartan guy in school, also happens to be the deadliest.

But lately, things have been weird, even for Mythos. First, mean girl Jasmine Ashton was murdered in the Library of Antiquities. Then, someone stole the Bowl of Tears, a magical artifact that can be used to bring about the second Chaos War. You know, death, destruction and lots of other bad, bad things. Freaky stuff like this goes on all the time at Mythos, but I’m determined to find out who killed Jasmine and why — especially since I should have been the one who died …

First Frost, a prequel e-story to the series that shows exactly how Gwen winds up at the academy, is available now as a 99-cent download from Amazon, Barnes & Noble, etc.

The blog tour will kick off on Monday, July 11 and will run through Friday, Aug. 20. I’m going to be doing a ton of blogs (more than 50 I think this time around), talking about everything from mythology to the monsters of Mythos Academy to my favorite YA books.

I’ll link to all the various posts here on my blog every morning; however, I don’t know exactly when all the posts will go live. Some will be up in the mornings, and others will be up in the afternoons — it just depends on each blog’s individual schedule. I’ll also post links every morning on my Facebook and Twitter pages.

I want to say thanks in advance to all the blogs for hosting me. I really appreciate it and everything that you guys do to spread the word about all the books out there.

Anyway, I hope everyone enjoys all the various blogs and Touch of Frost when it comes out. Happy reading, everyone! 😉

First Frost prequel e-story released …

First Frost is finally here! Happy release day to me! Huzzah! Huzzah! Huzzah! Okay, okay, I’ll quit huzzahing now.

First Frost is a prequel e-story in my Mythos Academy young adult urban fantasy series. Here’s the description:

I am Gwen Frost, and I have a Gypsy gift.  It’s called psychometry — that’s a fancy way of saying that I see images in my head and get flashes of other people’s memories off almost everything I touch, even guys.

My gift makes me kind of nosy. Okay, okay, maybe a lot nosy — to the point of obsession sometimes. I want to know everything about everyone around me. But even I don’t want to know the secret that a girl in my class is hiding or the terrible loss that will send me to a new school — Mythos Academy, where the teachers aren’t preparing us for the SATs, but to battle Reapers of Chaos.  Now I have no friends and no idea how my gift fits in with all these warrior whiz kids.  The only thing I do know is that my life is never, ever going to be the same …

First Frost takes place before the events in Touch of Frost, the first book in the Mythos Academy series. You can read an excerpt here. It is available through Amazon, Barnes & Noble, etc. as 99-cent download.

You don’t have to read First Frost to start or enjoy the Mythos Academy series, but if you want to see exactly how Gwen winds up at the academy or get an early feel for the books, you might enjoy it.

    Happy reading, everyone! 😉

    First Frost e-story …

So I finally have some cover art to share for First Frost, the prequel e-story that I’m doing for my Mythos Academy young adult urban fantasy series. Pretty cool, huh? And here’s the story description:

This e-story takes place before the events in Touch of Frost, the first book in the Mythos Academy series. You can click here to read an excerpt of the e-story.

The e-story will be released on July 1 (I can’t believe July is only two weeks away), and it’s now up for pre-order at Amazon as a 99-cent Kindle download. I’m not sure when it will go up at Barnes & Noble, but I’m guessing probably sometime in the next few days.

Please note that the e-story will be available through Amazon and other online booksellers, not as a free story here on the website. I know some folks might be disappointed by this, but more people look at Amazon and other book sites than visit my website. So I think releasing First Frost as an e-story is a good marketing opportunity and hopefully a way to reach new readers.

You don’t have to read First Frost to start or enjoy the series, but if you want to see exactly how Gwen winds up at Mythos Academy, you might like it.

    And that’s a wrap …

Well, the blog tour for Tangled Threads has finally wrapped up. It was a lot of work, but it was a lot of fun. I’m slowly but surely mailing out all the books with the various giveaways, so just be patient with me about that.

And I just want to say thanks to all the bloggers/sites that hosted me and to everyone who took the time to read and review the book. I really, really appreciate it. 😉

But now, it’s time to switch gears and focus on my next release, Touch of Frost, the first book in my Mythos Academy series. I’ve got tons of stuff to post about the series, including cover blurbs, cover art, and more, so stay tuned for that. I’ve also got some updates about the Elemental Assassin series as well.

Since I’ve got so many things going on, I thought that I would post my release schedule for the rest of the year. Here it is:

July 1: First Frost e-story, Mythos Academy prequel story (this one should be up for pre-order on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, etc. soon)

July 26: Touch of Frost, Mythos Academy #1

    Sept. 27: Spider’s Revenge, Elemental Assassin #5

Sept. 27: Haints and Hobwebs: An Elemental Assassin short story in The Mammoth Book of Ghost Romance

Nov. 29: Kiss of Frost, Mythos Academy #2

And that’s a wrap for now.
