Wish list …

I’ve often wished for bionic wrists when pounding out my latest rough draft, including now while I’m working on Assassin 2. I wouldn’t mind having a color laser printer, either. 😎

My aching wrist got me to thinking about what other writers wish for. I’m sure being able to quit your day job or hitting a list is on many writers’ wish lists (mine included). But what other things do folks long for? A new computer? Cool office gadgets? More writing time?

And what do readers wish for? More books by a favorite author? Discovering a great new writer? Cool reading gadgets?

Leave a comment and tell me what’s on your wish list. You already know what’s on mine. Na-na-na! :ww:

I wish for a small, country home with quiet reading room overlooking a beautiful view of the ocean where I can read all of the many hundreds of books that are on my TBR pile.

I also wish for the Publisher’s Clearing House people to come to my apartment and give me lots of money so I can buy said house.

*psst* I have a color laser printer/copier/scanner combo, and it is gooooood. They’re at a price point now where it makes just as much sense to get one as it does to replace a $100 color inkjet every year.

I want to replace my sofa with big, comfy, curl-up-and-read chairs in a bold color. Red, or maybe purple. I’m over the neutral-and-unassuming theme.

I’d also like energy-saving lightbulbs that don’t tint everything puke green and claim to be 100 watts but look like 25 watts. Just sayin’.

Jody — Me too. Me too.

Amy — Tell the PCH folks to swing by my place, while you’re at it. 😉

Kerry — The cost of the cartridges are what’s stopping me from buying the color printer. I think I looked at an HP, and all four catridges were like $80 — each. Sigh.

Comfy chairs are always good! 😎

Time — Not just time to read, but time for everything. So my wish would be to have more time. Being a time lord with the Tardis and Rose might help.

Though I can’t help but to think of Burgess Meredith in the Twilight Zone. Time enough at last — It is my favorite episode — But I wouldn’t wish for it.

Brian — I think we all long for more time — to do the things we love, spend with our families, finish that big project at work, whatever. I definitely wish I had more time to write and read.
