Widow’s Web released …

Widow's Web e-book coverWidow’s Web, the seventh book in my Elemental Assassin urban fantasy series, has been released. Huzzah! I hope everyone enjoys the book.

This post does have some spoilers, so if you don’t want to be spoiled, you may want to skip reading this post.

A few notes:

1) Shown at left is the e-book cover. The print books will have a white cover on top of the blue art. That is called a step-back cover. So if you’re buying the e-book, look for the blue cover. If you’re getting the print book, look for a white cover on top of the blue art.You can check out this blog post talking a little more about the covers.

Also, as far as I know, the audio book should be available today at Audible.com, along with the e-book and print versions, which are available at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Books-A-Million, and other booksellers.

2) Here’s the back cover copy for the book. Again, please note that if you don’t want to be spoiled, you may want to skip reading the back cover copy:

I used to murder people for money, but lately it’s become more of a survival technique.

Once an assassin, always an assassin. So much for being plain old Gin Blanco. With every lowlife in Ashland gunning for me, I don’t need another problem, but a new one has come to town anyway. Salina might seem like a sweet Southern belle, but she’s really a dangerous enemy whose water elemental magic can go head-to-head with my own Ice and Stone power. Salina also has an intimate history with my lover, Owen Grayson, and now that she’s back, she thinks he’s hers for the taking. Salina’s playing a mysterious game that involves a shady local casino owner with a surprising connection to Owen. But they call me the Spider for a reason. I’m going to untangle her deadly scheme, even if it leaves my love affair hanging by a thread.

Basically, this book delves into Owen’s backstory.Readers will find out more about Owen, his past, and how it impacts Gin.

3) Some folks may not be happy with something that happens in this book. But I do want to let folks know that I have a plan, as I said before in this blog post (again, beware of spoilers). I really can’t say more than that right now. Hope everyone understands.

Anyway, I hope everyone enjoys the book and Gin’s latest adventure. Happy reading!

    Happy release day!!

I still have to read book 6 and the last Frost book as well. I’ve had each of them since their release days…

Another great book — stayed up way past my bedtime to read it. I’m annoyed with a certain character who refused to face reality and I hope this character has to grovel in the future since Gin went “above and beyond” to be understanding. My only niggle with book is that Gin is too hard on herself BUT I loved how the plot allowed Gin to see how she could have turned out IF Fletcher hadn’t been in her life. WONDERFUL and I cannot wait to read the next book — thank you for another great story.

Hi Jennifer, I just finished Widow’s Web and I have to say you are so cruel! Just kidding, you are actually a wonderful author and I can’t get enough of Gin and the gang. Thank you so much for creating such a wonderful series!

This is the best book in the series. I thoroughly enjoyed it…even if it was gut wrenching. I have to be honest…I hate Owen a little right now.

Thank you for a fast paced story that wasn’t side-tracked by the relationship angst. I enjoyed seeing a more complex antagonist.

    Still hating Owen (a little).

Finally getting around to commenting but finished the book on release day. You know the thing I hate most about your books? When I finish one, I have to wait eons until the next one is released! I love Gin so much! As a library staff member, I have been recommended your books to everyone (Mythos Academy for the younger crowd & both series to the adult readers). My family keeps reminding me that I can just borrow the books and let them live at the library, but some books – like yours – a girl just needs to own for herself. Thanks for another great read!

Thanks! I’m glad you are enjoying the series, and I appreciate you recommending my books to others. If you ever want some bookmarks for your library, just e-mail me, and I’ll tell you how to get them.

I like that sentiment — letting books live at the library. And I appreciate you wanting the Elemental Assassin books for your own library at home. Thanks again for all the nice words about my books. I appreciate them.
