Resolutions …

Well, it’s time for those New Year’s resolutions. Mine are pretty much the same as last year, although I’m hoping to make more time for myself and hopefully be less stressed this year. Here are my resolutions in no particular order:

1) Write more.

2) Read more.

3) Spend more time with family and friends.

4) Make more time for myself.

5) Eat better and exercise more.

6) Just try to be a better person.

7) Be more considerate of others.

What about you guys? Any resolutions this year?

Mine is to finish one of my manuscripts by April so I can pitch it at RWA Spring Fling. It’s going to be tough since I’m doing a total rewrite on the one I plan to pitch.
I also want to quit smoking again. Last year I quit for 11 months.
I’m glad you plan to write more because I love your books.

Good luck with your book and quitting smoking. I haven’t been to that conference, but I’ve heard good things about it.

Thanks! I appreciate that. I’m hoping to write something new this year (a book that’s not in one of my existing series), but we’ll see if I have time for that or not.

I usually don’t make them because I think it’s a great way to let oneself down, and there are way too many people out there willing to do that to you for free. However, this year I decided that I would challenge myself to exercise more because my dogs and I are looking more round than usual. I know round is a shape, but I don’t want it to be my shape.

I’ve also vowed to stick to my guns more often so that I don’t let myself down. Especially with my family, I can be a tower of Jell-O.

I vote yes on your writing more. We can’t get enough of Gin or Gypsy Girl.

That’s true. It seems like all the experts say to start with small changes so that’s what I’m trying to do. Park farther away from the store, take the stairs more, that sort of thing.

Thanks! I appreciate that. Glad you are enjoying my books.

Mine is to make it to the next year. I started that resolution when I was 16 when I was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. I’m happy to say this was my 12th time making it (though there have been a few close calls in the recent years.) I hope to make many more. Good luck to those who’ve made resolutions this year!

Jennifer…I don’t know how you could possibly write more than you already do. You have published so many books recently, it’s amazing!!

Wow, that’s a really great resolution. I hope you are doing better and that you make it for many more years to come too.

Thanks! But I always feel like I could (and should) do more. Maybe I need to add a resolution about making a little more time for myself. LOL.

I have been making the same vow every year for the past 4. I want to do one nice thing, large or small for someone every day (and it can’t always be my husband. LOL). Reminds me to try to make the world a better place.

And this year I’m gonna do Wii Fit 20-30 minutes a day. 😀 I should make a vow to not buy books til I finish the teetering virtual and physical stacks, but how can one NOT!

      That’s a really cool resolution.

Heh. I know what you mean. Every time I vow to whittle down my TBR pile a little, a book that I’ve been looking forward to comes out. It’s a vicious cycle. LOL.
