Old or new …

So the blog is still in the different format from the rest of my Web site. And I wanted to ask folks what they thought about it before I attempt to fix it.

Do you guys prefer this blog format? Or do you like the old version where it matches the rest of the Web site and has links back to the other parts of the site? Which one is easier to read?

Please leave your thoughts in the comments. :ww:

I like it better the other way. I check your blog every day, but I like looking at the rest of your site as well. I might be in the minority though.

This version downloads faster. I personally don’t care if an author’s blog looks exactly like her website. And I say this because I don’t want to change my own blog to look exactly like my website! And also, because it’s true.

I prefer it this way – it’s easier to read and it can be added to blog-readers like Google.

But I’ll still bookmark your site and visit if you change it back, of course! 😉

Maybe you could do both… Or mirror the blog on LJ, as you’re a member of FF&F… :ww:

I like the other version better, but this one is fine. I’d go with the other one if I were you, because it advertises your books. That and the ease to access your website makes the old one a better promotional tool.

Well, the general consensus seems to be the old design, so I’ll ask my Web guy to change it back.

And Karen, you can read the old version on blog readers. Here’s the link you need (I think): https://www.jenniferestep.com/blog/?feed=rss2. Please let me know if that works. If not, I’ll ask my Web guru for more help.

Thanks for your comments, everyone! :bubbles:

Thanks for the link! I just found your previous post about this, strangely enough, so it’s all good. Cheers!

I still think you should mirror over on LJ though… *looks around innocently* 😆

Karen, please let me know if it works for you.

Mirror on LJ? Hmm, I didn’t even know you could do such a thing. I’ll have to look into that …

Yay!! It works. I’m pleased – you write about so much stuff I like reading. :ww:

As you’re quite active on FFF at times, it might be worth investigating… Though, be warned… LJ can be a tremendous time-suck. 😉
