Best intentions …

Somehow, despite my vow to whittle down my TBR pile, it remains at around 15 books. My own fault, really, since I took some books to the used bookstore to trade in and came home with three more. Sigh.

Although in my defense two of the books are really short — The Unhandsome Prince by John Moore and one of the Atlantis books by Alyssa Day. They’re both under 300 pages.

Ah, well. I’m planning on doing some reading this weekend, as well as working on Assassin 2 — in between watching the Olympics, of course. 😎

What about you guys? Anyone got big plans for the weekend?

Jennifer, you must write like the demon to work full time, write all your books, read and watch TV. I’m cleaning this morning because I’m having my local chapter over tomorrow. My husband and I are going to the state fair either this afternoon or Sunday.

Jennifer, how funny!! Yours is sitting here on my TBR pile, too. I have to drive 3 hours to Orlando tomorrow to give a talk and was just wishing I had a chauffeur so somebody else could drive and I could just read for that 6 hour round trip . . .

Edie — Not really! I always feel like I should be doing more. I do get a lot more writing and reading done in the summer, though, mainly because there’s not much TV and no football to watch! 😎

Alyssa — That is funny! I really enjoyed your Atlantis short story in the Wild Thing anthology so when I saw one of the books at the store I immediately snatched it up. I’m looking forward to it. 😎
