ARC giveaway for Deadly Sting …

Deadly StingMy editor was nice enough to send me three print ARCs (advanced reading copies) of Deadly Sting, the eighth book in my Elemental Assassin urban fantasy series that will be out on March 26.

I haven’t done a giveaway here on the blog in a while, so I thought that I would offer up the three ARCs for giveaway. To enter, just leave a comment on this post talking about a book that you are looking forward to in 2013.

The giveaway will run through midnight, EST, Wednesday, February 20, and is open to U.S. residents only. The winners will be randomly selected and announced here on the blog on Friday, Feb. 22. You must be 18 years or older to enter.

Also, if you do win an ARC, I hope that you will consider reading and reviewing the book for your blog, Goodreads account, etc.

Here is the description for Deadly Sting. As always, if you don’t want to be spoiled, you may want to avoid reading the description.

Red is definitely my color. Good thing, because in my line of work, I end up wearing it a lot.

Most people shy away from blood, but for an assassin like me — Gin Blanco, aka the Spider — it’s just part of the job. Still, it would be nice to get a night off, especially when I’m attending the biggest gala event of the summer at Briartop, Ashland’s fanciest art museum. But it’s just not meant to be. For this exhibition of my late nemesis’ priceless possessions is not only the place to be seen, but the place to be robbed and taken hostage at gunpoint as well. No sooner did I get my champagne than a bunch of the unluckiest thieves ever burst into the museum and started looting the place.

Unlucky why? Because I brought along a couple of knives in addition to my killer dress. Add these to my Ice and Stone magic, and nothing makes me happier than showing the bad guys why red really is my color.

    How can I pick just one? I can’t wait to catch up with the rest of the Elemental Assassin books, of course. I’m reading them a month at a time along with everyone else who is taking part in the Elemental Assassin Read-A-Long. 😉
    My taste in reading is eclectic so the books I’m waiting for follow suit. Two of my most anticipated books that come out in March are J.R. Ward’s Lover at Last and Cassandra Clare’s Clockwork Princess.

    I always look forward to any books that are by you! I usually only follow one or two series that an author writes, but you are one of the three writers that I have enjoyed all their series AND you just happen to produce books faster than most writers that I know! (It makes me feel spoiled compared to other readers who have to wait years for their favorite author’s next book lol)

    Another author I read all their different series is J.R.Ward. Her next BBD book out is in March, and its focus is on a much anticipated couple.

    I have read each of your Spider novels. I like them alot. I guess I like the hard boiled character in Mz Blanco. Also, I like crime fiction and don’t want a bunch of mushy romantic stuff. While there’s some in your books, it would be difficult to have more and to maintain the wry and dry tack personality of your heroine. The books still appeal some years later. Plus, I am a chef so I like the restaurant angle. That was an initial turn on. Good job with the writing. Thanks.

    There are so many books that I’m looking forward to! The Elemental Assassin series included, of course, but I’m impatiently waiting for Keri Arthur’s Darkness Unmasked (Book 4 of her Dark Angels series).     I am a HUGE fan of your Gin Blanco series. Gin, to me, is the ultimate female crimefighter-as she can be deadly, she also has emotions for those close to her. I love the growing relationship between Gin and Bria, and I hope that one day Owen can find it in his heart to learn to love Gin again.

    I would love to see someone from Finn’s past come back to haunt Gin and Finn.

    I have been patiently waiting for “Deadly Sting” to be released. I can’t get enough of Gin Blanco!!!!

    I’m looking forward to so many books this year, several authors of whom you have actually turned me on to.
    At this moment, probably the one I’m looking forward to the most is Reqium, the third book in Lauren Oliver’s Delirium trilogy. Second to that is probably the second book in Michelle Sagara’s Queen of the Dead series. I really love that the book has ab autistic character that is central to the storyline. I’m also looking forward to the second book in Jaqueline Carey’s new urban fantasy series. I’ve actually got a list of books I’m looking forward to, so it was hard to pick. I make a sticky on my desktop with release dates.

    There are several books that I am looking forward to reading this year and although each book is unique in style, subject, and tone, the authors share an incredible ability to create characters and worlds that seem real. I am intrigued by Eve Dallas’s background and psyche and I look forward to reading how she evolves further in “Calculated in Death”. I am fascinated by Kate Daniels and wonder what will happen next in “Magic Rises” and I cannot wait to see how Gin’s story unfolds in “Deadly Sting” — will Owen realize his mistake and will Gin forgive him?
