I wonder …
if all these Olympic athletes really eat fried chicken sandwiches from McDonald’s and drink massive amounts of Coke. Because I’ve seen tons of commercials the past week were they do just that.
Even I feel my arteries hardening when I eat McDonald’s or chug down a Coke. So would an Olympic athlete, whose body is a freakishly fit temple, really pollute his buff physique with grease and carbonated beverages?
Somehow, I doubt it …
Oh, hell, I don’t even do that any more! But I hear marathoners get to eat some carbs before a big run. However, one also has to figure in the fact that most of the athletes are also teen-agers, or so it seems…. (ha ha)
Somebody told me they saw a story about Michael Phelps’ diet. Evidently, he eats about 10,000 calories a day. Must be nice …
Many, many years ago, someone asked Bruce Jenner if he really ate Wheaties for breakfast. (This was right after his picture began appearing on the Wheaties box.) As I remember, his answer was roughly along the lines of, “Don’t be ridiculous.” (He was eating something with considerably more protein.)
