Most books that grab me do so a couple paragraphs (sometimes pages) in, but your books? First line hijacks my attention and woe to anyone who interrupts my reading after that.

I love to learn the personal stuff of characters. It was great to meet Finn as a teenager and see what he was like before he grew up to be all sophisticated.
