I’m glad you are enjoying the series. You can read the back cover copy for TANGLED THREADS on the Books at a Glance page. If you look at that, it’s pretty clear who Gin’s love interest is in the book. I have a no-spoilers policy so that’s really all I can tell you at this point.

Well, I’m sorry you found that irritating. But basically, I have to create the magic/world building, explain all the characters and their relationships, recap what’s happened in all the previous books, and lay out the groundwork for what’s going to happen in this book. It can be a little repetitive for readers who have read the series from the beginning and want to see what happens next.

But I have to do this in every single book because I can’t count on the fact that everyone who reads a certain book has read all the other ones and knows what’s going on already. A lot of people will pick up the third or fourth book in a series without having read the first couple.

I recently picked up a middle book in a long-running series and had no idea what was going on because the author didn’t bother to explain or even describe the characters and their relationships to each other. She didn’t even give their last names in some places.

Mab killing Gin’s family is the defining moment of her life, but I’ll admit that she dwells on it — and that she’s a wee bit obsessed with getting her revenge. LOL.

I’m also hoping to add some new recipes here to the site around the first of the year. We’ll see how that goes with the holidays coming up. LOL.

Venom and here is it… BUT …. I know that in the first couple of charters, you have to go over
what happen in the previous book to let new readers know who the characters are and how
them relate to each other. But in this book you repeated information, such as ” Mab Monroe
killed her mother and her big sister and torture her ” all thru the book, to the point that all
I wanted to say was “get over it”. You did this with most of the characters, Roslyn, Fletcher
and Donovan. You know, most readers have good memories and don’t need things repeated
over and over again.
I don’t mean to be harsh, but it really irritated me.
