    Midnight Frost released …

Midnight Frost Midnight Frost, the fifth book in my Mythos Academy young adult urban fantasy series, has been released. Huzzah!

I hope that everyone enjoys reading about Gwen’s latest adventure. Here is the book description. Note that this does have some spoilers for Crimson Frost, so if you haven’t read that far in the series yet, you may want to avoid reading the description.

    Here we go again …

Just when it seems life at Mythos Academy can’t get any more dangerous, the Reapers of Chaos manage to prove me wrong. It was just a typical night at the Library of Antiquities — until a Reaper tried to poison me. The good news is I’m still alive and kicking. The bad news is the Reaper poisoned someone else instead.

As Nike’s Champion, everyone expects me to lead the charge against the Reapers, even though I’m still hurting over what happened with Spartan warrior Logan Quinn. I’ve got to get my hands on the antidote fast — otherwise, an innocent person will die. But the only known cure is hidden in some creepy ruins — and the Reapers are sure to be waiting for me there …

    WHERE TO GET THE BOOK

Midnight Frost is available in print, e-book, and audio book formats, including at the following sites:

The audio books are available through Brilliance Audio and Audible (as well as through Amazon, B&N, BAM, and other audio booksellers).

Note: If you want the print book and your local bookstore does not have it in stock, you can always ask them to order it for you. Or if you want to be sure that you have the print book as soon as possible, you can order it through Amazon, B&N, BAM, or another online bookseller and have it shipped to you.

    SPARTAN FROST ALSO AVAILABLE

Just a reminder that Spartan Frost Spartan Frost, an e-novella in my Mythos Academy young adult urban fantasy series, is also available.

This e-novella is around 14,000 words and takes place between the events of Crimson Frost and Midnight Frost. It is told from Logan Quinn’s point of view. Even though Gwen is on the cover, this is a Logan story — not a Gwen story.

Once again, here is the book description, although please note that this does contain some spoilers for Crimson Frost:

I’m Logan Quinn, the deadliest Spartan warrior at Mythos Academy. At least I was—until the day I almost killed Gwen Frost.

Professor Metis and Nickamedes say that I’m fine, that Loki and the Reapers don’t have a hold on me anymore, but I can’t risk it. I can’t risk hurting Gwen again. So I’m leaving Mythos and going somewhere far, far away.

I know Gwen wonders what’s happening to me, whether I’m safe.  I can’t tell her, but this is my story …

    WHERE TO GET THE E-NOVELLA

Spartan Frost is #4.5 in the Mythos Academy series. It is available as an e-book only for $1.99 at online e-booksellers, including the following sites:

Hope everyone enjoys the book and the e-novella. Happy reading!

Kiss of Venom e-novella released …

Kiss of VenomKiss of Venom, the e-novella from Owen Grayson’s point of view, has been released. Huzzah!

The e-novella is #8.5 in my Elemental Assassin urban fantasy series. It takes place in between the events of Deadly Sting (book #8, available now) and Heart of Venom (book #9, out on Aug. 27).

You don’t necessarily have to read Kiss of Venom to enjoy the next book, Heart of Venom, but I’ve gotten so many requests for an Owen story, and this seemed like a good time and place in the series to write something from his point of view.

Kiss of Venom is about 19,000 words long. It is available for $1.99 as an e-book only — not in any print or audio formats. You can read a short excerpt here.

You can download the e-novella at online booksellers, including the following:

    Amazon

    Barnes & Noble

    Books-A-Million

    iTunes

    Kobo

Here is the Kiss of Venom description. As always, please be mindful of spoilers:

The New York Times bestselling Elemental Assassin series continues with a new e-novella — from the hero’s point of view! Owen Grayson is bound and determined to get Gin back … if her enemies don’t get her first.

When you have a history of dating an assassin, a night out on the town can turn deadly — fast. Owen Grayson is still wracked with guilt over the end of his love affair with Gin Blanco, and there aren’t enough gin and tonics in all of Ashland to ease his heartache. But when Gin happens to show up at the same nightclub, he isn’t the only one hoping to get her alone. Some shadowy figures will do anything to take down the Spider, Gin’s assassin alter ego, and Owen will do anything to protect her. This could be the way to win her back, or at least give her a night off from fighting for her life — if Owen can survive …

I hope that everyone enjoys the e-novella and seeing things from Owen’s point of view. Happy reading!

    Elemental Assassin reading order …

So I’ve gotten a couple of questions about the reading order for my Elemental Assassin urban fantasy series.

Of course, I would suggest reading the books in order, starting with Spider’s Bite, the first book in the series. But, as you finish each book, I would check my Excerpts page and read the free short story (or stories) that go along with each book. For example, Spider’s Bargain goes along with Spider’s Bite, while Web of Death and Web of Deceit go along with Web of Lies. And so on and so forth.

You’re not necessarily missing anything if you don’t read the free short stories, but I thought those would be fun extras for readers.

I also have an e-novella — Thread of Death — and a couple of short stories that I’ve done for anthologies — Haints and Hobwebs and Parlor Tricks. So I’ve listed the reading order of those below with the books:

    • Spider’s Bite — book #1
    • Web of Lies — book #2
    • Venom — book #3
    • Tangled Threads — book #4
    • Haints and Hobwebs story in The Mammoth Book of Ghost Romance — takes place after the events of Tangled Threads
    • Spider’s Revenge — book #5
    • Thread of Death e-novella — takes place after the events of Spider’s Revenge
    • By a Thread — book #6
    • Widow’s Web — book #7
    • Deadly Sting — book #8
    • Parlor Tricks story in Carniepunk anthology — takes place after the events of Deadly Sting
    • Heart of Venom — book #9

Does that make sense? Anyway, hope this answers some questions about the reading order of the series. Happy reading!
