I have self-published Venom in the Veins, Elemental Assassin #17. Woot! I know you guys have been waiting for Gin’s next adventure, and I’m so happy to finally be able to share the book with readers.

VENOM IN THE VEINS BOOK DETAILS

Ebook: $5.99 at the following sites:

Amazon Kindle / Barnes & Noble Nook / Google Play / iBooks / Kobo / Smashwords

Audiobook: The awesome Lauren Fortgang is once again the narrator for the audiobook.

    Amazon audiobook / Audible audiobook

Print book: $14.99 at the following sites:

Amazon print / Barnes & Noble print

Note: The print book will most likely NOT be stocked at your local bookstore, so you will have to order it online through Amazon or Barnes & Noble.

Blood might be thicker than water, but venom is stronger than just about anything …

It was supposed to be a nice, quiet, simple dinner with friends—but nothing is ever nice, quiet, or simple when you’re Gin Blanco, the Spider, notorious assassin and current queen of the Ashland underworld.

This time around, someone seems to be targeting Stuart Mosley, the president of First Trust bank. Lots of people have grudges against Mosley, but the more I investigate, the more Mosley’s problems seem to be connected to some of my own, especially when it comes to the Circle, the evil, shadowy group that is secretly responsible for much of the crime and corruption in Ashland.

But when another blast from my dark and deadly past as the Spider comes to light, I wonder if I’ll be able to survive this dangerous new enemy, who has a burning thirst for revenge that will only be satisfied with one thing: my death.

I hope that everyone enjoys Gin’s latest adventure. Happy reading! 🙂

Jennifer’s tentative book signing schedule for 2018 …

I will be doing a few events and book signings this spring/summer. As of right now, here are all of the events that I have planned for 2018:

May 5 — I’ll be signing books at Mountain Empire Comics in Bristol, Tenn. as part of the store’s annual Free Comic Book Day events. Exact book signing time to be determined, but I’ll probably be at the store in the morning.

July 18-21 — I’ll be attending the Romance Writers of America’s annual conference in Denver, Colo. I will be doing some of the publisher signings for conference attendees, and there will be a free, public book signing from 3-5 p.m., Saturday, July 21.

July 28 — I’ll be signing books as part of ROB-CON at the MeadowView Conference Resort & Convention Center in Kingsport, Tenn. Exact book signing time to be determined.

The con (which runs from July 27-29) will feature dozens of authors, comic book artists, vendors, and more, so if you love comic books/fantasy/etc., you might want to check it out. Note that I will only be at the con on Saturday, July 28.

Please keep in mind that this schedule could change, due to life events and other factors.

Also, before you ask, yes, I would love to travel and do more events, but traveling is expensive, and I am swamped with writing deadlines. So I probably won’t be traveling very much this year.

Updates and description for Kill the Queen, Crown of Shards #1, Oct. 2 …

I have some updates to share for Kill the Queen.

    1) The book title is still Kill the Queen, but the series title has changed to Crown of Shards. Also, the release date has been pushed back a week to Oct. 2.

    2) The book is up for pre-order:

    Amazon Kindle / Amazon paperback / Barnes & Noble e-book / Barnes & Noble print book / Books-A-Million / Google Play / iBooks / IndieBound / Kobo

The ebook is $10.99, and the print book is $16.99. There will be an audiobook, and I will share those links as soon as they are online.

    3) Here is the book description:

Gladiator meets Game of Thrones: a royal woman becomes a skilled warrior to destroy her murderous cousin, avenge her family, and save her kingdom in this first entry in a dazzling fantasy epic from the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of the Elemental Assassin series—an enthralling tale that combines magic, murder, intrigue, adventure, and a hint of romance.

In a realm where one’s magical power determines one’s worth, Lady Everleigh’s lack of obvious ability relegates her to the shadows of the royal court of Bellona, a kingdom steeped in gladiator tradition. Seventeenth in line for the throne, Evie is nothing more than a ceremonial fixture, overlooked and mostly forgotten.

But dark forces are at work inside the palace. When her cousin Vasilia, the crown princess, assassinates her mother the queen and takes the throne by force, Evie is also attacked, along with the rest of the royal family. Luckily for Evie, her secret immunity to magic helps her escape the massacre.

Forced into hiding to survive, she falls in with a gladiator troupe. Though they use their talents to entertain and amuse the masses, the gladiators are actually highly trained warriors skilled in the art of war, especially Lucas Sullivan, a powerful magier with secrets of his own. Uncertain of her future—or if she even has one—Evie begins training with the troupe until she can decide her next move.

But as the bloodthirsty Vasilia exerts her power, pushing Bellona to the brink of war, Evie’s fate becomes clear: she must become a fearsome gladiator herself . . . and kill the queen.

    4) And that’s it for now. I should have the cover art to share soon. In the meantime, I hope everyone enjoys the book description. 🙂

    Jennifer’s tentative 2018 book release schedule …

Here is my tentative book release schedule for 2018. Note that these dates could always change, due to various publishing whims.

Spring 2018 — Venom in the Veins, Elemental Assassin #17

    Summer/Fall 2018 — Spartan Strong, Mythos Academy spinoff #2

Sept. 25, 2018 — Kill the Queen, Kill the Queen #1 — Amazon Kindle / Amazon print

These are all the books that I hope to have out this year. But again, these dates could change, especially since I am self-publishing my Elemental Assassin and Mythos Academy spinoff series. It takes longer for me to self-publish books since I am juggling three series right now.

I’ll be sharing cover art, excerpts, and more for all these books as they become available. To stay up to date on my latest news and book releases, you can sign up for my newsletter: https://www.jenniferestep.com/contact-jennifer/newsletter/

I hope everyone enjoys the new books as they are released. Cheers!
