    Midnight Frost cover revealed …

Midnight FrostI thought that I would start the New Year off with a cover reveal, so today, I’m sharing the cover for Midnight Frost, the fifth book in my Mythos Academy young adult urban fantasy series.

Pretty cool, huh? I love the colors on this one, and I think the mix of purple and gray will print really well. Also, the model definitely has a bit of a tough-girl vibe going on here, which I think fits in well with Gwen and the story in this book.

Here is the description. Note that this does have some spoilers for Crimson Frost, so if you haven’t read that far in the series yet, you may want to avoid reading the description.

    Here we go again …

Just when it seems life at Mythos Academy can’t get any more dangerous, the Reapers of Chaos manage to prove me wrong. It was just a typical night at the Library of Antiquities — until a Reaper tried to poison me. The good news is I’m still alive and kicking. The bad news is the Reaper poisoned someone else instead.

As Nike’s Champion, everyone expects me to lead the charge against the Reapers, even though I’m still hurting over what happened with Spartan warrior Logan Quinn. I’ve got to get my hands on the antidote fast — otherwise, an innocent person will die. But the only known cure is hidden in some creepy ruins — and the Reapers are sure to be waiting for me there …

The print book for Midnight Frost is up for pre-order at Amazon. I imagine that the print book will go up for pre-order at other online booksellers soon. Also, it will be available as an e-book in all the various formats (Kindle, Nook, etc.). I imagine those pre-order links will go up later on in the spring. I’ll keep you posted.

Midnight Frost is tentatively set to be published in August 2013, which means that the release date should be July 30, 2013.

Anyway, hope everyone enjoys the look at the cover.

Deadly Sting e-book cover revealed …

Deadly Sting e-book coverSo today, I thought that I would share the e-book cover for Deadly Sting, the eighth book in my Elemental Assassin urban fantasy series.

The cover at left is what you will see if you buy the e-book.

However, the print books will have a step-back cover, just like Widow’s Web did. That means that on the Deadly Sting mass market print books, that there will be a red flap that will be the outer cover. You open up the red flap, and you will see the interior art of Gin (shown at left), just without the text that will be on the e-book cover. You can check out this blog post to see the print covers and what I’m talking about.

The cover artist is Tony Mauro, who has also done the other covers in the series. Once again, I think he’s done an excellent job capturing Gin and the story.

Also, here is the book description for Deadly Sting. As always, if you don’t want to be spoiled, you may want to skip reading the description:

Red is definitely my color. Good thing, because in my line of work, I end up wearing it a lot.

Most people shy away from blood, but for an assassin like me — Gin Blanco, aka the Spider — it’s just part of the job. Still, it would be nice to get a night off, especially when I’m attending the biggest gala event of the summer at Briartop, Ashland’s fanciest art museum. But it’s just not meant to be. For this exhibition of my late nemesis’ priceless possessions is not only the place to be seen, but the place to be robbed and taken hostage at gunpoint as well. No sooner did I get my champagne than a bunch of the unluckiest thieves ever burst into the museum and started looting the place.

Unlucky why? Because I brought along a couple of knives in addition to my killer dress. Add these to my Ice and Stone magic, and nothing makes me happier than showing the bad guys why red really is my color.

Deadly Sting will be released on March 26, 2013. The book is up for pre-order at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Books-A-Million, and other online booksellers. You can read the first chapter here, although please note that this chapter has spoilers for Widow’s Web, so if you haven’t read that far in the series yet, you may want to avoid reading the chapter.

Anyway, hope everyone enjoys seeing the e-book cover.

Deadly Sting cover art and cover copy revealed …

Deadly Sting outer cover Deadly Sting inner cover

Today, I am pleased to share the cover art for Deadly Sting, the eighth book in my Elemental Assassin urban fantasy series.

Once again, the book will have a step-back cover, just like Widow’s Web did. That means that on the Deadly Sting mass market print books, that the red flap (above left) will be the outer cover on top of the interior art that shows Gin (above right). The e-books will just show the interior, Gin art (I’ll post the final e-book cover when it becomes available).

The cover artist is Tony Mauro, who has also done the other covers in the series. Once again, I think he’s done an excellent job capturing Gin and the story.

I can also share the book description for Deadly Sting. As always, if you don’t want to be spoiled, you may want to skip reading the description:

Polish cover for Touch of Frost …

Touch of Frost Polish coverToday, I thought that I would share another foreign cover. This is the Polish cover for Touch of Frost.

Again, I always think it’s interesting to see the foreign covers for books and how they are different than the U.S. covers. This one sort of has a cool, high-end fashion magazine vibe to me.

According to my editor, Touch of Frost was published in Poland earlier this week. So if you’re in Poland, be on the lookout for the book. And of course, you can get the English editions of the books now through sites like The Book Depository (which ships worldwide).

Anyway, just thought I would share the cover. Happy reading!

    Crimson Frost cover revealed …

Crimson Frost coverWell, I can finally share the cover and the back cover copy for Crimson Frost, the fourth book in my Mythos Academy young adult urban fantasy series that will be out in January 2013.

Here is the book description. Please note that this does have some spoilers for previous books in the series, so if you don’t want to be spoiled, you might want to skip over the description. Here goes:

For a moment, a face flashed before my eyes — the most hideous face I’d ever seen.  No matter how hard I tried to forget what had happened, I saw him everywhere I went. It was Loki — the evil god that I’d helped set free against my will.

I should have known that my first official date with Logan Quinn was destined to end in disaster. If we’d gotten into a swordfight, or been ambushed by Reapers, I’d have been more prepared. But getting arrested mid-sip at the local coffee hangout? I didn’t see that one coming.  I’ve been accused of purposely helping the Reapers free Loki from his prison — and the person leading the charge against me is Linus Quinn, Logan’s dad. The worst part is that pretty much everyone at Mythos Academy thinks I’m guilty. If I’m going to get out of this mess alive, I’ll have to do it myself …

Crimson Frost is up for pre-order at Amazon and Barnes & Noble. You can read the first chapter here. Again, the chapter has some spoilers, especially if you haven’t read Dark Frost yet.

Anyway, hope everyone enjoys the book when it comes out. Happy reading!
