I haven't seen a movie in a theater in at least five years and I haven't bought more than five films on DVD. HBO has a new movie every Saturday night. I get HBO for The Wire, Entourage, Big Love, and their other great shows, but I try to take advantage of the movies. The only down side is that I'm a year behind the rest of the movie watching world.

Besides on TCM, I just can't watch a movie on basic cable. I always feel like I'm missing something.

Chasity, I didn't know they had a drive-in in Appalachia. That's another thing I've never done -- seen a movie at a drive-in theater.

I'm just going to buy Pirates 3 on DVD when it comes out. I was really disappointed in number 2, given how much I loooved the first one. But I hear 3 is better than 2 (if longer). Sigh. If a movie goes more than 2 hours, the theater owners should pause it for bathroom breaks.

Tia, I usually wait for stuff to come out on cable. I haven't rented a movie in over two years, I'd say. I did watch Hitch the other night on cable. A decent romantic comedy. Kevin James was pretty funny in it.

Aah, movies. They are a pleasant memory these days. The only movies we see anymore are of the DVD variety. We will be getting almost all of the ones that Chastity mentioned when they come out.

I actually like Ocean's 12 better than 11. I'm weird like that though.

We usually go to the drive in (in Appalachia) every weekend. We skipped last weekend and one of the girls that works there emailed to ask why we weren't there. I think in the last 4 years we've been every weekend that it's been open, with the exception of a couple.

I loved Pirates 3 - Jack Sparrow is my hero. Spiderman 3 was eh, I don't like MaryJane and I just couldn't get into it. Shrek 3 rocked. It was hillarious. I'm dying to see Fantastic 4 and Ocean's but that was the weekend we missed.

Up this weekend is Evan's Almighty and Knocked Up. I really want to see Knocked Up, gotta love Katie Heigel.
