Not good, but not really bad either. Like I said, it was a “meh” comment.

I’ve heard a lot of good things about “My Sister’s Keeper.” I’ll add it to my list of books to get. Thanks for the tip. I’m always on the lookout for good books to read. 🙂

Sometimes when recommending a book to a friend, I will say something along the lines of, “it’s not the greatest book out there, but it’s at least enjoyable.” This actually means that I enjoyed the book – it just wasn’t one of the FEW that I couldn’t put down.

I’m not sure I’d rather have someone hate the book, although I’m sure there are people out there who will. But, hopefully, those will be outweighed by the folks who like it …

I’m going to try not to let the reviews get to me, although if there is a glaring error in one, I will politely write in and ask that it be corrected.

Being a writer is such a tough business. Why can’t people just shower us with adoration? 😉

All reviews, I pretty much let go without comment (although I will thank most reviewers, if I think it’ll be okay to comment on the blog, or privately via e-mail). Even mistakes in the review, I won’t correct unless it’s a very bad error (I had one reviewer say my hero was a vampire when he was a Guardian (an angel-like being)) and only if it’s a professional review site. It’s more difficult to decide with blogs, I think.
