Still reading “Demon Angel.” I couldn’t believe what happened at the end of Part 1. That is the first time I’ve ever seen the hero do that to the heroine in a romance novel, without the intent of turning her into a vampire or something.

I think getting the contract changed it, definitely, because I had to reorder my priorities. And publishing made me rethink how I take feedback — but there was no big change.
