When my oldest son was born, I started the tradition of buying him a Christmas book and reading it to him on Christmas Eve. Now that my youngest son is a teenager, I still buy books (just not holiday titles only) as gifts and we still read “A Visit From Saint Nicholas” on Christmas Eve, complete with teenage eye-rolling and heavy sighs of indulging the mother. This year I’m hoping to spend Christmas Eve reading “Crimson Frost” by one of my favorite writers.
