Brian — I think the process of voting is the most important thing, no matter who you vote for. My point was that if you didn’t at least take the time to vote, then you shouldn’t complain about who did or didn’t get elected because you didn’t do anything to make your opinion heard when it counted.

As for who wins and what they do … regardless of how it went, I doubt things will really change that much. The system is just too convaluted. Or maybe I’m just too jaded …

If you vote and help elect someone that turns out to be a huge failure — Than you caused it. Where as a person who doesn’t vote can not be blamed for the mess you created. Voting is a great responsibility — I feel good about what I did today. I just hope I feel the same way later on.

I plan on taking her with me as much as I can so she grows up understanding how important it is.
