I haven’t heard of that book. I’ll have to check it out sometime. I think Bishop’s WRITTEN IN RED is more urban/modern fantasy. Snyder’s HEALER series is definitely epic/high fantasy.

It’s getting some buzz and friends have scheduled a buddy/group read next week. There’s also a paranormal romance I recently purchased and need to read before it gathers digital dust with other impulse buys. :o)

Maria Snyder’s work looks good. Anne Bishop’s story “Written in Red” comes to mind, but I’m not sure if Snyder’s work is similar. Both are fantasy, with maybe Snyder being high fantasy.
