About Books

  • That sound you hear …

Some of you know this already, but the first three books in the Elemental Assassin urban fantasy series have been released as audio books by Audible. Huzzah! Here’s the link to check them out.

I haven’t listened to the books myself yet (I just haven’t had the time), but I’ve gotten several e-mails from folks who have enjoyed them. Everyone really seems to like the narrator, Lauren Fortgang. I didn’t pick her to narrate the books (Audible did that), but Lauren was nice enough to e-mail me back during the summer and ask me some pronunciation and other questions about the books. I thought that was really cool of her, and I’m looking forward to hearing how the books turned out when I get the time. (I so need like 30 hours in a day to get everything done anymore.)

I don’t know if Tangled Threads and book 5 in the series will be released as audio books or not, but that will probably depend on how well the first three books do saleswise. But I know that a lot of folks like audio books, so I’m happy that the books are available in this format.

    Happy listening, everyone!

  • Back to print …

This is going to be the first of several update posts, since I’ve got quite a bit of news to report. So here goes.

I’ve already announced this on my Facebook and Twitter sites, but Venom has gone into a second printing, and Web of Lies has gone into a third printing. Huzzah! I want to say thanks to all the readers and everyone else who has tried the Elemental Assassin series.

Basically, this means that demand for the books has been good and steady enough for my publisher to print some more copies beyond the initial print runs. Now, admittedly, my print runs aren’t huge to start with. Some of the really big name authors have initial print runs that are in the hundreds of thousands of copies. But hey — every little bit helps, right? 😉

For those of you keeping count, Spider’s Bite is in its second printing. I’m hoping that it will eventually go into a third printing, but no word on that yet. We’ll see. Fingers crossed anyway.

    A quick update …

My blog tour for Venom is finally starting to wind down. It was a lot of work, but it was also a lot of fun. I just want to say thanks to all the bloggers who’ve let me guest blog on their sites and to all the reviewers who took the time to read and review the book. Thanks, guys!

And, of course, I want to give a shout-out and big thanks to all the readers out there. I’ve already gotten so many wonderful e-mails, and for the most part, everyone seems to think that Venom is the best book in the series so far. As an author, you always want to hear that the latest book is better than the last and that folks are looking forward to future books. So thanks for that.

I’ve got a few more guest posts and giveaways scheduled on into November, but I’ll be getting back to my regular Monday-Wednesday-Friday postings here at the blog, hopefully in the next week or so.

So stay tuned for more …
