Daughter of Smoke and Bone was my first book for Taylor, but I enjoyed it well enough, though I’ll admit I like the 3 books from Raised by Wolves more; it filled a niche that I wanted after reading my first Mercedes Thompson book from Patricia Briggs.

I keep meaning to try Taylor’s books. I’ve heard a lot of good things about them. I’ve also been meaning to try Barnes’ series too.

For young adult series, I just finished Laini Taylor’s Daughter of Smoke and Bone, the first book of the coming series and looking forward to the next.

I’m also looking forward to Jennifer Lynn Barnes’, whose Raised by Wolves series I previously enjoyed, new series starter entitled Nobody, as well as Richelle Mead’s The Indigo Spell, #3 in her Bloodlines series.
