No, I can safely say that you’re not the only person in America who hasn’t seen Dirty Dancing. My sister-in-law has never watched it either. I make fun of her constantly for it.

When you said this, I went immediately to the DVD collection to see where my copy was. It about that time I recalled loaning it to someone, who never returned it. Now I can’t remember who I loaned it to.

Jennifer, you should see Enchanted, and rent Love Actually. Don’t watch it once, watch it more than once. It has nuances. 🙂

Chasity — Okay, I’m probably the only person in America who hasn’t seen Dirty Dancing. I’ve seen parts of it, of course, but I’ve never sat down and watched the whole thing. May have to fix that. 😎

Tia — I like Willow too, especially Val Kilmer as the crazy guy. I haven’t seen all the Austen movies, but my favorite is Sense and Sensibility. A rare movie that’s actually better than the book. Great cast, especially Alan Rickman. Love him.

Brian — Ah, The Godfather. That’s another classic and very quotable. I’ll watch the first one when it’s on, but not the second two. I just didn’t like them as much. My Cousin Vinny was funny too. Two youths … Yeah, you blend …

Edie — I’ve haven’t seen Love Actually or Enchanted, but I’ve heard lots of folks raving about Enchanted. I may have to get that one on DVD …

Anybody seen 3:10 to Yuma? I was thinking about watching that to get my Western fix. :joecool:

The Thomas Crown Affair with Pierce Brosnan and Rene Russo is one of the sexiest movies made. The Fugitive is great. Love Actually is one of my favorite movies. I love the multiple plots. I always see something new when I watch it. I’m looking forward to getting Enchanted on DVD. Oh, and I own a DVD set of the Thin Man movies.

I’m looking forward to the new Indiana Jones movie too.

For a guilty movie — I’ll go with The New Guy. It is a fun movie, that I’ll always stop and watch a few minutes of whenever I see it on.

Like ever other man in America, I quote The Godfather from time to time. Though the movies I quote the most are My Cousin Vinny and Young Guns II.

My favorites are much the same as yours, especially The Princess Bride. I also love the great 80s fantasies–Willow and Ladyhawke. I am a huge Clint Eastwood fan as well. I also really love The Great Escape.

But my biggest movie obsessions are Jane Austen adaptations. I have two versions each of Pride and Prejudice, Emma and Sense and Sensibility, plus the rest of the movies as part of a BBC set. That’s not quite every Jane Austen movie ever made, but I’m working on it!

My guilty pleasure movie has to be Dirty Dancing. I can watch that movie over and over again, and I can very nearly quote every word.

When Johnny tells Baby’s dad, “Nobody puts baby in a corner”, my heart just melts.
