I've read Kavalier & Clay, and I really enjoyed it. It is focused on two young men writing a comic called The Escapist, but the story is much bigger than that.
I've been slowly working my way through one of the Tor free ebooks, In the Garden of Iden by Kage Baker. Not slow because the book is no good, slow because I am sooooo tired at bedtime! Anyway, I find it very interesting although the author uses doom-n-gloom foreshadowing I wish wasn't there. I'd rather have the tragic event that seems to be predicted unfold naturally.

I got The World is Flat by Tom Friedman at the library. Even though it was the big buzz book three years ago, I still think it is an important read. I'm not sure how I feel about the world flattening. While I love the amount of imformation that is available now, I'm worried about the future and how a flat world will continue to impact America.

I've got Bitten by Kelley Armstrong in my TBR pile. I didn't realize she had a YA out too. I might read Bitten next.

And I'll read The Wild Road at some point, but I'm only up to Book 5 in Liu's Dirk & Steele series so far. Too many books, not enough time ... :bubbles:
