Hi, HelenKay. No problemo. I enjoyed the book.

I really like the very beginning where he finds her on the beach. That was a great hook to get people into the story. And I get what Kane was doing by keeping her close by.

I also liked Annie's obsession with building pyramids out of sweetener packets. That was a nice touch to show how she's always thinking and planning ahead.

It's probably just me. I'm not a big fan of alpha characters -- or characters who do alpha things. It makes my Spidey sense tingle -- and not in a good way. Like in J.R. Ward's books. As much as I like her characters/world, every time one of the vamps goes all possessive over his lady, I want to reach into the book and punch them. :hulk:

Thank you!!

Sorry the beginning didn't work for you. Kane knew she was lying and just want to hold her there (not let her run) while he changed closed, but I can see where it would seem overly alpha. Very happy you kept reading!

Danette -- It was fun, especially if you're looking for a light read. I haven't heard of Maya. I'll have to check her out.

This book looks like fun, it is nice to have a light read. I'm reading Overheard by Maya Banks and it has some light banter between characters.

Hugs, Danette
