Publishers Weekly review time …

karma-girl-cover.jpgOMG! Karma Girl got reviewed in Publishers Weekly! And they liked it!

Who-hoo!

Here’s some of what they said:

Chick lit meets comics lit in Estep’s fresh debut … A zippy prose style helps lift this zany caper far above the usual run of paranormal romances.

I can’t believe they liked it! I can’t quit typing in exclamation points!

Who-hoo!

YAY!!!!! A good nod from PW?? That is VERY, VERY good! It is the main review source for the public libraries up here. Congratulations!

  2. Jeri says:

That is huge! They don’t have time to review every book, and most of the ones they do review are just a summary. So the fact that they took the time to say how awesome it is, is major. Like, majorly major.

So congrats–you’ve earned the exclamation points! It’s on my TBB list for sure.

  3. Jennifer Estep says:

Thanks guys! I appreciate the well wishes. I’m still doing the happy dance. 😎

And Jeri, the rest of the review is pretty much plot summary, which is why I didn’t post it.

But still, they liked it! They really really liked! At least two sentences’ worth of like! Can you tell I’ve been channeling Sally Field all weekend? 😀

Now, let’s hope it get a good review in RT. Fingers crossed!

Thanks again for all the well wishes, guys. I still can’t stop smiling. Seriously, my cheeks are starting to kill me, and I’m beginning to look like Jack Nicholson from “Batman.” 😀

  5. Edie says:

Congratulations! I can see why they gave you such a great review. It’s the most fun book I’ve read. You created a world and characters that sprang to life. I’m already eager for your next book to come out. 🙂

Hi, Nicole. Hi Edie. Thanks for the nice words.

Nicole, I saw your post over at Meljean’s blog. Do you mind telling me which store you got a bookmark at? I’ve done a ton of mailings and I’m just curious as to which stores are actually handing out the bookmarks.

Well, Edie, there’s not too long to wait. Hot Mama comes out Nov. 6, and I just sent Bigtime 3 aka Jinx to my agent. I’m already working on Bigtime 4 aka Nightingale. I’m hoping to get a contract for those two, and I have ideas for at least two more after that. So hopefully, there will be lots of Bigtime books in the future! 😀

Jennifer, it was Basically Books in Cedar Rapids, IA. They have a basket up at the counter where they keep them all. It’s a great store for picking up romance. They sell new and used books and are my favorite store to buy books. Even more than my own (I work at a Half Price Books).
