Like sand through the hourglass …

Where the heck did January go?

Seems like just yesterday, we were ringing in the new year and making resolutions and stuff. Now, I’m already turning the page on my calendar over to February. And realizing I need to get into high gear and get some things done before March. Sigh.

Here’s what I’d like to get done in February:

1) Write a rough draft of Spy 2.

2) Update the Web site and add some info for Jinx.

3) Finish looking at the page proofs for the mass market versions of Karma Girl and Hot Mama (coming in July and August!).

4) Think about what I want to write in Assassin 2. I’m kicking around a couple of different story ideas right now. I need to pick one.

5) Write something new. There’s a new fantasy book I want to write this year (with a working title of Charm Queen). But I think I’m also going to try and write a romantic suspense next. Again, I have ideas for that — I just need to pick one.

We’ll see how many of these I mark off my to-do list … :wood:

What about you? What do you want to accomplish this month?

I’m having the same reaction as Tia. Are you sure you don’t have a superpower? Maybe a way to stretch time?

I plan on finishing up my last book and getting halfway through my next book. It’s a middle grade, and half as short as a regular book. :joe:

Yep, guys, I still work full-time. No superpower, either. 😎

But now that football’s over with, I have lots of free time on the weekends. And there’s always some book stuff I could do. Along with laundry and cleaning out my closets … 🙄

I think you have a hidden, secret, super power, right Jennifer? Wow! You sure have a lot in your arsenal to write a lot of good books! How do you come up with that many good ideas at once? I am lucky if I can match my socks in the morning! Ha,ha! Hey, if I get out the door in the morning and get to work on time that is a big accomplishment for me! Woo!

Well, I have done more accomplishments than that. giggle! I am just amazed how you accomplish so much Jennifer! I am very impressed! Care to share your secrets on how you coordinate your time with everything you have on your plate at the moment? Inquiring minds want to know!

Edie — The closets get cleaned very, very slowly — along with the rest of the house. 🙄

Michele — I have no problem coming up with all these ideas. But actually sitting down and writing them? Well, that takes some effort on my part. As soon as I finish a rough draft of something, I want to go on and write something new. I have to make myself go back and do heavy editing/revising work.

As far as coordinating stuff goes, I just work on something all the time, whether it’s revisions or a new book or the Web site or whatever. You’d be surprised how much you can get done, even if you’re only devoting an hour a night to it. I also spend most of my Sundays working on stuff too. That’s really my catch-up day. :scooby:
