Killer Frost update …

Killer FrostWith the release of Midnight Frost back in August, I’ve been getting some questions about Killer Frost, the sixth book in my Mythos Academy young adult urban fantasy series.

First of all, here is the cover for the book at left. Killer Frost is set to be released in March 2014, which means that the on-sale date will be Feb. 25, 2014.

Killer Frost will be the last book in my Mythos Academy series. I know this will disappoint some folks. I love writing the series and Gwen, Logan, and all the other characters, but ending the series now will give me a chance to bring Gwen’s story to a (hopefully) great conclusion for readers and fans of the series.

If there is enough reader interest, I may write more works in the series someday or perhaps do a spinoff series. We’ll see what happens. But it’s time to say goodbye to Gwen and the gang, at least for now.

This doesn’t mean that I’m going to stop writing young adult books. I have a new YA project that I am working on, and I hope to be able to share some news about that soon. Like I said before, we’ll see what happens.

In the meantime, here is the link to the Killer Frost book page with all of the information that I have for the book so far. And here is the book description. As always, please be mindful of spoilers:

I’ve battled the Reapers of Chaos beforeand survived. But this time I have a Bad, Bad Feeling it’s going to be a fight to the death … most likely mine.

Yeah, I’ve got my psychometry magic, my talking sword, Vic–and even the most dangerous Spartan on campus at my side, in Logan freaking Quinn, but I’m no match for Loki, the evil Norse god of chaos. I may be Nike’s Champion, but at heart, I’m still just Gwen Frost, that weird Gypsy girl everyone at school loves to gossip about.

Then someone I love is put in more danger than ever before, and something inside me snaps. This time, Loki and his Reapers are going down for good … or I am.

Killer Frost will be available in print, audio book, and e-book formats. It is up for pre-order at the following sites:

Amazon

Barnes & Noble

Books-A-Million

Brilliance Audio

It should be up for pre-order soon at other sites, including Audible, Kobo, and iTunes.

I had a lot of fun writing this series, and I hope that everyone enjoys Gwen’s next adventure.

I would love to read your next series or spinoff in the future, I love Gwen and gangs adventure although it hurt to see it end. But nevertheless, Mythos Academy is one of my favorite and it always will.
    Definitely will pre-order it!
    All the best~

Aw, Jen, you’re gonna make me cry! I’ll definitely miss Gwen and Logan freaking Quinn and the Mythos Academy world. So when you talked about *maybe* future books in this same world I thought, “Yes please!”

But anyway, I am very excited for “Killer Frost” and the new YA project you’ve got going on! Can’t wait!

I would love more books maybe centered around Rory. Seemed like Sigyn had plans for her

        • Jennifer+Estep says:

I’ll never say never, but as of right now, I don’t have any plans to write any more Mythos books or a spinoff series with Rory.

    • Jennifer Estep says:

Thanks! I appreciate that. No, I won’t be doing any more e-novellas in the series before KILLER FROST comes out. I just don’t have time with in my writing schedule.

While I’m sad that this is the last book in the series, I can’t wait to see how it all ends. 😀

Thank you for not pulling this series out just to make money. I love your writing style and have enjoyed many of your books. Thank you also for your willingness to do spin offs, this will give a chance to see this through the perspective of other major characters.

    • Jennifer Estep says:

Thanks! I appreciate that. Glad you are enjoying my books. I may do a spinoff someday. It just depends on my writing schedule and reader interest. We’ll see what happens.

  6. Amypond says:

Yay, I’m so excited for this book! Too bad it has to end so soon, though. I hope it doesn’t make me cry 🙁

Awesome series, though I am more partial to Elemental Assassin, it’s great to go back and forth between them while waiting for the next book to come out. But I have one question who are the models you use to represent Gin and Gwen?

    • Jennifer Estep says:

Thanks! I appreciate that. Glad you are enjoying my books. I’m sorry, but I don’t know who the models are. The publishers create the cover art for the books, not me.

I am completely in love with this series. I’m deployed right now, and on my down time in one week, I’ve read all of them. It’s the most I’ve read in a long time. I couldn’t seem to put them down. I can’t wait for “Killer Frost”!

    • Jennifer Estep says:

Thanks! I appreciate that. Glad you are enjoying the books and looking forward to KILLER FROST. Take care!

I am completely in love with this series. It’s so sad to see this end. This series, by far, is my favorite. Are there going to be anymore books like this? Keep on writing Jennifer because you have a true talent in writing.

Thanks! I appreciate that and all the nice words about the series. Glad you are enjoying the books. I don’t have any plans right now to write anymore in the series, but I’ll never say never. And I’m mulling over some ideas for a new YA series. We’ll see what happens.

I love your books. They are so amazing like honestly. I just started reading them on Christmas and I can’t stop. I love the whole Gwen Logan thing. Also I really hope she can kill Loki. Please keep writing. I will definitely read the spin off or a new series.

    • Jennifer+Estep says:

Thanks! I appreciate that. Glad you are enjoying the series, and I hope that you enjoy KILLER FROST too.

    • Jennifer+Estep says:

Thanks! I appreciate that. I may do a spinoff series someday, if I have an idea for a story. Right now, though, I’m concentrating on some new ideas for both urban fantasy and young adult. We’ll see what happens.

  11. Tammi says:

I love this series so much, your writing is amazing! I fell in love with every book you wrote for the Mythos Academy series. Your books captured my attention and left me hanging after every ending! I’m hoping that you will continue to write more books about Gwen’s adventures! Please don’t make Killer Frost the last book to the series!

    • Jennifer+Estep says:

Thanks! I appreciate that and all the nice words about my books. I’m sorry, but KILLER FROST will be the end of Gwen’s story. If I have an idea in the future, I might write more in the series or do a spinoff, but for now, it is finished. Hope you enjoy the conclusion.

  12. alisa says:

i am obsessed with this series, i am so sad that it is coming to an end but i can wait to see the gang come together and take down loki

    • Jennifer+Estep says:

I don’t know who the model is. I never get a lot information about the models used on the cover.

I also think I saw a review/comment on the KILLER FROST Amazon page where someone made a comment that she was the model’s mom. But again, I’m not sure on that.

  13. Laurie says:
