I dream of cover blurbs …

A while back, author Judi Fennell asked me to read her paranormal romance, I Dream of Genies, for a possible cover blurb. I thought the book was a lot of fun (you can read my review here), and I gave her blurb — Cute, quirky, and charming … a romantic, action-packed tale!

A few weeks ago, I got a copy of the book in the mail thanks to Judi — and they used my blurb on the back cover!  This is the first time a blurb of mine has been on a book cover. Is it wrong that I find this to be super cool? 😉

Okay, okay, enough about me. The book comes out Jan. 4 (tomorrow) so be on the lookout for it. It really is a cute read and reminded me of the old Romancing the Stone movie … but with genies, magic, and a snarky talking cat. (In fact, I told Judi she should use that as one of her future book titles — Romancing the Genie).

Anyway, if you’re a little tired of vampires and werewolves (like I am) but are still looking for a fun paranormal romance read, you should give this one a try. Congrats to Judi!

Is that considered achieving a milestone if your blurb is used on a book? LOL. Congrats on its use. Judi’s good sounds like a terrific read.

I don’t know. I don’t know whether my name would be enough to get someone to buy the book (I’m guessing not since I’m not a huge best-selling author), but I thought it was really cool to be asked. LOL.

If you’re looking for a light, funny paranormal read, you should give it a chance.

I think it’s perfectly fine that you think it’s supercool! I wondered why you didn’t post a picture … but now I get it. By not posting a picture of the blurb, you’re making us drag ourselves to the bookstore to see it for ourselves. And then perhaps, to buy. I see your scheme …

Well, I wanted to give Judi some promo so that’s why I posted the cover. Also, I don’t have a scanner, so I couldn’t scan the back cover in and post it. I thought about taking a picture of it, but I didn’t know how well that would turn out either. So front cover it was. LOL.
