Countdown to Venom and more …

I found something cool on Twitter this past weekend. Larissa, a book blogger, has made countdown widgets or buttons for several fantasy books, including Venom. Thanks, Larissa!

Here’s the link to the post so you can see all the covers and get the code for the widgets. Less then 70 days now until the book is released. 😉

In other news, Jennifer over at Rayment’s Readings, Rants, and Ramblings posted about her family making the Peanut Butter and Banana Sandwich that Gin makes in Spider’s Bite. Here’s the link.

Thanks, Jennifer! I hope you guys enjoyed the sandwich — I know I always do when I make it for myself. 😉

I have to say that these are the first countdown widgets for my books that I’ve seen and the first time that someone’s made one of the recipes from the books and posted about it online (at least to my knowledge). Knowing that folks are looking forward to Venom and the rest of the books in the Elemental Assassin series really does make my day. So thanks!

Thanks Jennifer — we all loved it (well Jeff didn’t hate it, but he ate his piece and said it wasn’t bad) except for Jesse who was asleep while we made it — and it only got made because Mr I have to touch EVERYTHING was asleep. I follow Larissa’s blog so I got the heads up on the Venom countdown widget so I put it on my blog. Got lucky yesterday my Simon and Shuster blogger contact is sending me Venom to review. Since I already preordered it — I will give Natasha (who introduced me to your work) the copy I pre-ordered. Shh don’t tell her : )

I’m glad you enjoyed it. You should try the chocolate chip pound cake recipe. That one is really good and really easy to make. 😉

Cool. I hope you enjoy the book.

My work internet connection sucks so I can’t view the countdown widget til I get home, boo.

I’ve been looking forward to Venom since Web of Lies was released. I can’t wait to see more of Gin and Owen!

The widget is really cool. I’d post it here on the blog, but I can never figure out how to get the code to work for those. WordPress doesn’t like some of the things that I try to do.

Cool. I hope you enjoy the book. 😉
