All I got for Christmas was books …

Okay, so I got a few things for Christmas besides books (a lot of candy came my way this year). But the books were probably the most interesting — at least to me, lol — so I’d thought I’d share them on the blog today.

For Christmas, Wheezley got me The Iron King by Julie Kagawa and Shadow Kiss by Richelle Mead. Yeah, my book haul was pretty light this year, but I plan on swiping the Songs of Love and Death anthology and The Spirit Thief by Rachel Aaron from Wheezley when he gets done reading them, since those were my gifts to him.

That’s the great thing about buying books for folks — I can always ask to borrow them later. 😉

What about you guys? What books did Santa bring you this year?

I didn’t get a single book this year! *hand to head* Poor me. 🙁 The only books I gave out were for the small kidlets so I probably won’t borrow those (kinder/grade school).

I did enjoy the Iron King, Songs of Love and Death, and The Spirit Thief. Hope you both enjoy those too!

I got 4 different cookbooks (a new obsession of mine to go with my new dutch oven!), I also got Dead, Undead, or Somewhere in Between by J.A. Saare and Pride and Prejudice and Zombies by Seth Grahame-Smith. I am looking forward to reading both of them! I just find The Spirit Thief and that is one of my next books to get. Enjoy your books!

Oh, cookbooks can be fun — especially if they have a lot of great (and easy) recipes in them. I’m hoping Wheezley hurries up and reads The Spirit Thief so I can add it to my TBR pile. LOL.

The only book I got this year was from my Secret Santa and it was Karma Girl : )
I had tons of books on my Xmas list but family and friends seem to think that giving me books is sorta like giving crack to an addict, they got me clothes instead –hmm wonder if they are trying to tell me something

Well, I hope you enjoy it. 😉

Hmm. I know what you mean. I had a ton of books on my list too. My only problem is that the ones I wanted were coming out after Christmas. LOL.

You got some good ones. I haven’t read the anthology one yet as I don’t much care for those unless it’s a story I’m reading about. I have Rachel Aaron on my wishlist but I love the other two. I can’t wait till the next Richelle Mead for the Georgina Kincaid also. Right now I am reading Last Sacrifice as it’s last in the series and its good so far. Julie Kagawa are excellent books too I’ve read all those…

I really like Mead’s Vampire Academy series, and I keep meaning to try her Succubus series and urban fantasy series as well. Too many books too little time. LOL.

I’ve heard nothing but good things about the Kagawa books. I’m looking forward to digging into The Iron King soon …
