It’s almost Christ­mas in Mon­tana, and Juliana Mitchell has nowhere to go — and nei­ther do the chil­dren that she’s been teach­ing at a local school. But in steps wid­owed rancher Lin­coln Creed, who takes in Juliana and her stu­dents. Lin­coln is look­ing for a gov­erness for his young daugh­ter, and he thinks that Juliana will do just fine. What he doesn’t count on is falling in love with her …

I’m a big west­ern fan, and I’ve read a cou­ple of Miller’s other books. They’re what I would call com­fort reads — just good solid west­erns. Noth­ing really ground­break­ing hap­pens, and you know where the story is going every step of the way, but the books are still well-done.

This book is no excep­tion. The romance between Lin­coln and Juliana is sweet, and the Christ­mas back­drop adds a lot of sen­ti­men­tal moments to the story. If you’re look­ing for a quick read to get you in the hol­i­day spirit. Check this one out. Thumbs up.
