945 and counting …

Finished Dark Needs at Night’s Edge by Kresley Cole. This is the fourth book in her Immortals After Dark paranormal romance series.

In this one, vampire Conrad Wroth is half-crazed with bloodlust, so his fellow vampire brothers chain him up in an abandoned house in New Orleans to try to heal him. Except the house isn’t quite abandoned — ballerina Neomi Laress has been trapped in the house as a ghost since the 1920s when her crazy fiance murdered her. But strangely enough, Conrad can see Neomi, and the two of them form a friendship, which leads to something deeper over time. But the future isn’t bright for a vampire and a ghost he can’t even touch …

This is another series that I like because it’s just fun. Cole has an interesting world, full of vampires, Valkyries, and more, and she writes really strong female characters, which I always appreciate. This is another solid installment in the series, with lots of cameos by characters from the other books. Thumbs up.
