937 and counting …

One of the things that I’ve missed most while the site has been down has been doing my book reviews. I’ve got a ton of these to catch up on, so please forgive me if they are a little short for a while.

Finished Smooth Talking Stranger by Lisa Kleypas.

This is Kleypas’ third contemporary romance about the lives and loves of the Travis family. In this one, Ella Varner’s sister dumps her newborn son, Luke, on Ella’s doorstep and takes off. But Ella is determined to track down the father, which leads her to the oh-so-sexy Jack Travis, who may or may not be the culprit. Sparks fly between the two of them, of course. But when Ella’s sister comes back for Luke, things get complicated — especially Ella’s feelings for Jack.

This is another wonderful contemporary romance by Kleypas, full of real people feeling real emotions. Not quite as good as the first two books in the series, Sugar Daddy and Blue Eyed Devil, but Smooth Talking Stranger is still an excellent read in its own right. Big thumbs up.

Up next: Something I read over the summer.

Books in my TBR pile: About 20.
